Registered Kinesiologist​

Catherine earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Victoria. While in school, she discovered a passion for teaching and anatomy while volunteering as a teaching assistant in the first-year anatomy lab. She has gained valuable experience working with athletic, neurological, and older adult populations, and brings a well-rounded, adaptable approach to her care.

Catherine’s goal as a kinesiologist is to provide individuals with the knowledge and confidence to live healthy, active lifestyles while continuing to do the things they love. She has a special interest in neurological rehab, athletic performance and healthy aging. She believes in the power of exercise to support lifelong independence and function, and is excited to help clients achieve their goals, whether related to sport, healthy aging, returning to work, or daily activities.

Personality

Catherine grew up in the Lower Mainland, where she spent her time playing classical violin and staying active through gymnastics, volleyball, and swimming.

Outside the clinic, Catherine enjoys staying active through running, weight training, swimming, and playing volleyball. She has run 3 half marathons and is currently on the lookout for her next race. She also loves exploring local beaches and experimenting in the kitchen, trying out new recipes and flavours.

Community Connection

Since moving to the island, Catherine has become involved in her community by volunteering with Younglife at Claremont Secondary where she mentors teenage girls. She helps to facilitate Neuromotion Physiotherapy’s weekly balance class and volunteers as a teaching assistant in the first year anatomy lab at UVic, drawing on her love for learning, exercise and anatomy
